Art-A-Fair 2004

The Laguna Beach Art-A-Fair is an annual event that falls in the middle and runs concurrently with the Festival of Arts and the Sawdust Festival. This is an outdoor event with artists selling their works and demonstrating their crafts from makeshift booths. Perhaps the biggest difference between the Art-A-Fair and the Sawdust Festival, its most popular neighbor is that the fair features artists from all over the world, rather than only Laguna Beach artists in residence. Also, the works themselves tend to be more traditional than the other summer art shows and include paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass and jewelry as well as some new media like digital art. Visitors are offered the opportunity to view and acquire art directly from the artist exhibitors, finalist of a national juried exhibition. The event also features special artist demonstrations and lectures, free workshops, and professional artists offering classes in painting. There will be over 150 artists and craftspeople from around the world. Meet artists, get hands-on demos and enjoy gourmet dining by a canyon waterfall. This is an event you don't want to miss.
