Tall Ships Festival 2004

The Tall Ships Festival begins with a parade of Tall Ships entering Dana Point Harbor. Good views of the parade can be seen from the breakwater and the Dana Point Marine Life Refuge. Numerous activities for kids are also present at this festival. For example, kids will be told stories and be involved in learning pirate games. They can also be involved in face painting, pirate knot tying contests, learning how to furl a sail, arts and crafts such as necklaces and Indian baskets, treasure hunts, and much much more. The event also allows adults to go ride along on the tall ships with the pirates as well as enjoy the festivities from shore. Since 2001, the Dana Point Harbor village has been growing and expanding thanks to the revitalization project that has been in effect. Shops, activity companies, and a wide variety of fine dining has made Dana Point Harbor Village the place to be. And more development is on the way! So if you’re looking for an event that brings back the past as well as celebrates the present and future, come down to the Dana Point Tall Ships Festival. You won’t be disappointed.
